Spirulina on the Move
This video animation shows how the filamentous cyanobacterium Spirulina (likely labyrinthiformiss) moves in solution. The sample was collected along a beach in Normandy France. The filament is rotating along the longitudinal axis at a rate of approximately 20 rpm. The video should run about 25 seconds.
This video animation should be accessible from any modern platform. The file has been flattened to be crossplatform (.mov).
