This website is a scheduler for the X-ray labs. Currently there are 3 machines available. There is a small table below describing each.
| Instrument Name | Type | Pins per group: standard quota | Quota relaxed for short lead-time | Quota relaxed for long experiments |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Moe | R-axis IV |

| Miro | R-axis IIc |

The Pins per group column specifies the default amount of pins allowed per group. This will be how many pins most groups will have for that machine.
The Quota relaxed for short lead-time column tells if reservation make within 24 hours of an open date (after 9 AM one day before) are not restricted by the quotas. That is you may reserve the day even if it brings you over your quota. This intent is to encourage use of the instruments on dates that become available on short notice or are unreserved for any reason.
The Quotas relaxed for long experiments column tells if a group is allowed to go over quota if an experiment requres more than the groups quota allows. One example is the measurement of anomalous diffraction data from weakly diffracting, low symmetry crystals.
| Any user who needs to preform a long experiment should confer with his/her supervisor and obtain his/her approval before making the reservations. The reserved days must be consective, and only one experiment. The total number of reserved days on all machines for the group will be restricted to the sum of the groups quotas for these machines. |
It is expected that other users will cooperate in the process of establishing the necessary block of consecutive days by shifting non-critical reservations.
To use the scheduler, all you have to do is follow these steps:
