TEM's:

FEI Electron cryo-microscope CM300F (FEG) (300 kV) with ultra-high clean vacuum, cryo-temperature holders, special functions providing low-dose imaging conditions and cooled slow scan 4kx4k CCD camera for low-dose digital image recording. The microsope has a FEG with Schottky field emission source giving ultra-high brightness, low energy spread and high coherence, TWIN objective lens for high contrast and very high tilts (maximum 70°)  and CompuStage. The plate camera has 56 sheets of film.

FEI Electron cryo-microscope CM200F (FEG) (200 kV) with ultra-high clean vacuum, cryo-temperature holders, special functions providing low-dose imaging conditions and cooled slow scan 1kx1k CCD camera for low-dose digital image recording. The microsope has a FEG with Schottky field emission source giving ultra-high brightness, low energy spread and high coherence, TWIN objective lens for high contrast and very high tilts (maximum 70°)  and CompuStage. The plate camera has 56 sheets of film.

FEI Electron cryo-microscope EM420 (120 kV) with ultra-high clean vacuum, cryo-temperature holder, with low-dose attachment. The microsope has TWIN objective lens for high contrast and high tilts (maximum 60°). The plate camera has 36 sheets of film.

FEI Electron microscope EM410 (100 kV) with ultra-high clean vacuum and standard holder. The microsope has BIO-TWIN objective lens for very high contrast and high tilts (maximum 60°). It is used for biological applications including imaging of sectioned materials and negatively stained specimens. The plate camera has 36 sheets of film.



Ancilliary equipment:

GATAN dry pumping station with oil-free vacuum system for maintenance of cryo-holders for cryo-TEM's. It has turbo-molecular pump and carries of up to four cryo-holders.


EMITECH Table-top evaporator with turbo-pump. A modern evaporator with film thickness monitor, glow-discharge and metal evaporation attachments

LADD Carbon evaporator with oil-diffusion pump. Used for carbon film preparation, glow discharge, zeolite regeneration.
